SRT (SubRip)
SRT files contain formatted lines of plain text in groups separated by a blank line.
Subtitles are numbered sequentially, starting at 1.
The timecode format used is hours:minutes:seconds,milliseconds with time units fixed to two zero-padded digits and fractions fixed to three zero-padded digits (00:00:00,000). The fractional separator used is the comma.
SRT file structure:
A numeric counter identifying each sequential subtitle;
The time that the subtitle should appear on the screen, followed by
-->and the time it should disappear;Subtitle text itself on one or more lines;
A blank line containing no text, indicating the end of this subtitle.

Parameter | Description |

Encoding | Select the encoding for your file. It can be either UTF-8, ANSI, or any of the available in the drop-down menu. Most web players use UTF-8 encoding |
Right to left | This box is automatically checked if the chosen language has a right-to-left writing system. |
SRT RTL Reorder | Most of the filters used by digital video player programs have an issue displaying of Right-to-Left languages - the punctuation marks at the end of the lines are incorrectly displayed at the beginning. The RTL Reorder option can be used to solve this problem and have visually acceptable subtitles in a right-to-left language. |
SMPTE clock | Since SRT files are typically used for desktop and web players, the export will default to MEDIA time base, rather than SMPTE frame count. This will result in slightly different timing for 23.976 fps videos. If the SRT file is meant for importing into software that does not auto-convert MEDIA to SMPTE for SRT files, this box should be checked on export. |
SRT Settings
Parameter | Description |

Insert RTL/ LTR marks | With this box checked, the program will insert the right-to-left or left-to-right control codes to properly indicate display direction for the text. This will only work if the RTL Reorder is selected, and the Encoding is Unicode (UTF-8 or UTF-16). |
Export Colors | Saves the color formatting in the output .srt file. |
Export alignment | Exports horizontal and vertical alignment of the text. |
Export raised | Adds special code (“\N“) for each raised row. |
Export italics | Saves all the italics formatting in the exported .srt file. |
Bold | Exports all subtitles text as bold. |
Export underline | Saves the underline formatting in the output .srt file. |
