Creating recurring orders
Information about the order and template orders
To create a recurring order, go to Sales dashboard > Bulk actions > Order > Recurring orders generator > Add recurring order button at the bottom of the page.

When the “Add recurring order” pop-up opens, fill out the “Description” for the recurring orders automation.

Note that this is not the order title. It’s the description of the recurring order and it will be shown in the Recurring orders generator list.

To create a recurring order, a “Template order” needs to be selected.
For that, click “Select template order” to open a pop-up with all orders available in the system.

Note that, as this feature works as a copy of orders, when the Recurring orders generator runs, the system will copy the order selected with “Select template order”. |

By default, the page only shows active orders, but it’s also possible to select completed and deleted orders by clicking the “Show completed and deleted orders” button at the bottom of the page.

If unsure about which order to select, the Order info, Order tasks and Order files pages can be accessed from here as well.

If looking for a specific order, you can also filter the list by Order number, Customer or Title, for example.

After finding the order you want to use as a template, click the Select icon.

The number of the order selected will be shown next to “Template order”.

The “Title” field can be filled out or left empty, as it is not a mandatory field.
If it is left empty, note that the orders will be created with the same title as the order used as a template.

Scheduling automatic recurring orders
To create an automatic recurring order, the “Recurring schedule” section will need to be set up as well.

“When to run” determines when the system will run the Recurring order generator. Select the frequency from the dropdown menu and enter a time for the system to run.

If the recurring orders have a start and end date or a limited number of recurrences, that can be set in the “Recurring schedule” section as well. If not, select the “No end date” option.

“What to create” determines the frequency in which the orders will be created, this will also determine the Order supply date.
Similar to the frequency in which the system will run the Recurring orders generator, orders can be created every day, week, month or year.
Select the frequency from the dropdown menu and enter the “Order supply time”.

If all conditions are set up, clicking the “Order creation preview” will prompt a message indicating when the next run time is and when the orders will be created.

Additional actions during the creation of recurring orders
When creating a recurring order, since this feature works as the order copy feature, you can copy additional information from the template order selected. Switch on the attribute you want to copy in the “Retain options” section.
The toggles under the “Retain options” section can also be set to be switched on as a system default under Configuration > Defaults > Duplicate order defaults.
