When creating new users by copy, all user attributes and roles, besides personal information, will be copied.
If you have a group of similar users to create (for example a group of English to Spanish translators), create one, set all key attributes, and then copy the remaining users.
Role group- first, check the role group affiliation of the user to make sure the user has the required access level and permissions
2. Email- all email notifications except for login related notifications will be sent to this email address
3. Login email- all login-related emails will be sent to this address (password recovery, etc..)
4. Login active- the user can log in to the system
5. Display name- the resource’s name in the system
6. Approval manner- this will determine the resource reporting manner.
Monthly resource report- select this if the resource gets paid once a month
Resource report- select this if the resource gets paid on a periodical basis (not monthly)
7. Reports by timesheet- acts as a time punch card. The resource checks in when he starts working and checks out once finished. At the end of the month, he approves his report and a manager can review it.
8. Cannot be assigned- make sure it’s switched on if you want to be able to assign this resource to tasks
9. Is manager- set this On for all non-basic users
10. Resource type- determines the color of the resource in the resources pull-down menu when assigning tasks
11. Suggest to complete task after uploading a file- super important! Once on, after uploading a file, the user will be prompt to complete the task
12. Resource active- the user can be assigned to tasks
13. Time-zone, Time and date preferences- make sure all set correctly for the user
14. Skills for task assignment- Super important! Will determine to which tasks this resource can be assigned to
15. Subordinates- if the user is set as “Is manger” (point 8 above), subordinates can be selected for him. A manager, non-admin, will only see his subordinates in monitoring pages.
