Overview

Order templates are a way to quickly copy an existing order when opening a new one by marking an order as an “Order template”.

Enabling Order templates

To enable this feature in the system, follow the below steps:

  1. Enable the setting “Enable template orders from:
    Administrator>web Administrator>configuration>Settings>Enable template orders.

Using an Order template

While creating a new order, when prompt to choose a template, click the “Order template selection” tab and pick the order you wish to copy from.
Note that this tab will not be available if the system setting wasn’t turned on.

Once an Order template was picked, the retain screen will allow to copy certain parameters from the Template order, much like when copying an order.

Order template filtering

The list of Order templates available to choose from is filtered to match the properties of the order you are tying to create.
For example, if an Order template has Source language English, and you’re attempting to create an order from Source language Arabic, the Order template with English source language will not be shown in the list of available Order templates.
Same logic applies to the rest of the order properties:

  1. customer

  2. consolidated

  3. source language

  4. target language

  5. order type

When no Order templates are available to copy from, the system will display the below notification:

Languages structure of Order template

The structure in which the target languages are set in the Template order will be retained to the new order.

For example:
The original Template order has Russian first and Hebrew second as the target language:

but the new order is created with Hebrew first, and Russian second.

Despite that, the system will notify that the original order’s structure will be retain, meaning Russian first.
