The toolbar allows accessing the most important subtitle editing functions with your mouse.

Description

Open Project: Allows to open a pre-existing project. 

Save Project: Saves the changes made to the current project. 

Import subtitles: Allows to import an existing subtitle file (in a variety of formats) into the project. 

Import target file: Allows to import an existing subtitle file into the target column.

Export subtitles: Allows to export your project into a variety of professional subtitle formats. 

Open Media Files: Allows to open the video/audio files, as well as load video URL. 

Undo/Redo: These functions, present in almost all current software, allow to undo or redo changes in the current file. It is mostly useful when some changes are mistakenly applied. 

Go to: Allows you to jump to a specific subtitle or timecode. 

Project Settings: Allows to configure different parameters that most of the time are requested by client specifications for subtitle delivery. 

Hotkeys: When clicked, presents a list of the available shortcuts and hotkeys and the description of what each one does. 

Theme Toggle: Allows to toggle between a light and a dark theme. 

Toggle subtitles above and below the video: Displays the previous subtitle above the screen area and the next one - below. 

Split block: Splits current subtitle into two parts to allow individual positioning for each part of the text. 

Box: This menu allows you to place a boxed background on subtitles for better readability and to select which type of box will be placed.

Outline: Allows to select the type of text outline in each of the subtitles.

Line Align: Selects the alignment of each of the subtitles. The software allows subtitles to be aligned to the left, to the center, or to the right. 

Justify: Allows to select how the subtitles will be justified within the previously selected alignment.  

Vertical Align: Changes the vertical position of the subtitles on the screen. Choose from three default positions: bottom of the screen, middle, or top of the screen. Users may also manually raise/drop subtitles by using the "move 1 line up/down". 

Split Subtitle: Splits the current subtitle into two different subtitles based on the cursor position. The timecode will be split according to the number of characters before and after the cursor. 

Merge Subtitle: Merges the currently selected subtitle with the previous/following one. 

Add Subtitle: Adds a new subtitle to the existing project. The user may choose if the subtitle will be added before or after the selected one. 

Line Font: Defines the font set that will be used in the current line. Up to two different fonts that can be configured in the project settings. (This applies to older non-Unicode formats, such as PAC and 890, as they allow only one character set per subtitle line). 

New text styling: Set the color, background color, or text style for the new text you type. 

Vertical text orientation: Change the orientation (vertical / horizontal) - relevant for Japaneses files. 

Delete Subtitle: Deletes the current subtitle. 

Omit: Mark / unmark subtitle as omitted. 

Show editing codes: Shows line breaks and rich text editing codes (italics, bold, colors, etc.). 

Move word up / down a subtitle: Move the last word of the subtitle to the beginning of the next subtitle of the first word of the subtitle to the end of the previous subtitle. 

Project subtitles count: The number of subtitles in the current project. 

Error count and jumping between errors: The number of validation errors in the current project and arrows to jump between subtitles with validation errors. 

Range selection: Start range selection - allows selecting multiple subtitles for bulk manipulation by using a checkbox on each subtitle, selecting a range of indexes, or simply selecting all subtitles in the project.
