Overview

The Series information page is used to manage Key Names and Phrases (KNP) of series in the system.
The series information can be edited in case changes need to be made, and resources can see the previous version of the series information depending on their roles.

Required roles:

  1. To see the series information, a resource will require the role:
    Can see the Series information

  2. To add or edit series information, a resource will require the roles:
    Can edit the series information and Can Add and Edit the Series information

  3. To see the previous version of a series information, a resource will require the role:
    Can see previous versions of the Series information

Adding Series information to a series

Basic resources that access orders via My tasks/Pool Tasks/My Realtime tasks pages and have the roles:

  1. Can see the Series information

  2. Can edit the series information and Can Add and Edit the Series information

Can add series information to a series by following these steps:

  1. Click the Series Information button.

  2. Inside the Series info pop-up, choose the target language you wish to create the series information for.
    If set to “All”, the series information will be displayed to all languages.

  3. Click the “Add series information” button.

  4. Enter a subject (for example: KNP).

  5. Enter the series information under Message.

  6. Click save.

  • Note that the series information column might be hidden from view in the grid by default.
    To add it to the grid, click the 3 vertical dots in any other column-head and click the series information. For more information, read the Grid layout manual

Project manages can add Series information additionally from:
1. Supervisor >info>series information and:
2. Manager>Rolodex tables>customer>edit (magnifying glass)>Series
Accessing from the customer menu will filter the series displayed to that specific customer.

Viewing series information

Basic resources who have the role Can see the Series information

Can view the series information from the following pages:

  • My Menu>Tasks>My tasks

  • My Menu>Tasks>Pool tasks

  • My Menu>Tasks>My realtime tasks

To View the series information:

  1. Click the Series Information button.
    Note that if the button is grey, not series information is available for this series.

  2. Click the Display button

Editing and viewing previous versions

If the KNP needs to be amended (for example, if a new character has joined the show)
resources with the below roles will see an additional Edit button next below the information, which will allow to edit:

Can edit the series information and Can Add and Edit the Series information

Once edited and saved, a new version of the series information will be updated.

The latest version will be indicated by a blue i icon, as well as the date and time.
Resources with the following role will be able to see the previous versions:

Resources can click the “Read” icon to turn it green once they have read the info, in order easily follow whether they have read the latest version or not.
If a newer version of the series info will be added, the icon beside it will be red again.

For managers: additional information and functions in the Series information page

  1. The “Edit” icon opens the Series edit pop-up, just like when creating a new series. It allows to edit an existing series' name, notes, file name code, auto-duration update setting and the active setting.

  2. “#” is a unique id number assigned to a series.

  3. “Series name” is the series' name.

  4. “Customer” is the customer in which this series has be affiliated to.

  5. “Series notes” are notes that can be added to a series.

  6. “Series info” is the main page where all KNP related info will be updated for a series.

  7. “Automated file distribution” shows the distribution to this specific series.

  8. “Storage servers” shows specific storage servers for a series.

  9. “Approved names” allows to enter an approved name for the series in different target languages, and also to specify if information such as episode title, episode number or season should be included in the body of the subtitles.

  10. “Dates not flexible” allows to set a specific series as such.

  11. “Toolkit settings” can be set for a specific series.

  12. “Prices” can be set for a specific series.

  13. “Series status report” will display the total numbers of episodes and seasons per series.

  14. “Active button” - will deactivate an active series. It can still be accessed by enabling “Show inactive series” at the bottom of the page.
