To be able to assign a resource to tasks, some mandatory settings must be setup:

  1. Setting resource skills.

  2. Setting the “Cannot be assigned” switch

  3. Setting the “Resource active” switch

Setting resource skills

  • Set the resources skills for task assignment. This will determine which tasks the resource can be assigned to. Navigate to Administrator > Web administrator > Logins > Edit resource (magnifying glass) and set the required three mandatory skills.

  1. Languages (source and target) he can do (Fig 1)

  2. Task types he can perform (Fig 2)

  3. Order types he can do (Fig 3)

Setting the resources Languages skills:

  1. Click on the Languages button (fig 1)

  2. Enable / Disable the languages according to the resources skills (fig 2)

  3. Click Close (fig 3)

Setting the resources Task types:

  1. Click on the Tasks button (fig 1)

  2. Enable / Disable the Task types according to the resources skills (fig 2)

  3. Click Close (fig 3)

Setting the resources Order types:

  1. Click on the Tasks button (fig 1)

  2. Enable / Disable the Order types the resource can be assigned to (fig 2)

  3. Click Close (fig 3)

Once the resources skills are set, only relevant resources will be displayed in the resource pull-down menu when assigning resources to tasks.

Setting the “Cannot be assigned” switch

  • Make sure the “Cannot be assigned” switch is switched off

Setting the “Resource active” switch

  • Make sure the “Resource active” switch is switched on.

When this switch is off, the resource cannot be assigned to tasks, even if his resource skills are set:

Without setting these skills, the resource cannot be assigned to any task.
