Reopening tasks

Overview

Tasks in the system can be reopened, but there are two separate steps to this action, depending on what is needed: uncompleting the task and unlocking the project.

These two steps are not dependent on one another. A task can be uncompleted, but the project not unlocked and vice versa.

Uncompleting a task

Tasks can be uncompleted from the Tasks information page or the Tasks tab of the Sales dashboard, by clicking on the "completed" icon:

This action requires the role: Can uncomplete tasks

  1. Click on the “Completed” icon

  2. Closes the popup without uncompleting the task

  3. Uncompletes the task, but doesn’t clear the “Task completed date”

  4. Uncompletes the task and clears the “Task completed date”.

By clearing the “Task completed date”, any email distributions triggered by the completion of this task (Task ready notifications, automated file distributions, etc.) will be triggered again.

Once uncompleted, the task will become editable again and can be reassigned, the task can be changed, etc.

Uncompleting the task will also stop the flow, so any tasks that have the uncompleted one as a requirement to get started will go back to the “Not ready to start” status.

The Toolkit progress in tasks after the uncompleted one is not lost.

Unlocking a Toolkit project

Toolkit projects can be unlocked from within the project itself. A project can be opened from the Tasks information page or the Tasks tab of the Sales dashboard, by clicking on the "Open Toolkit" icon.

Within the Toolkit, from Project > Unlock project, the project can be made editable again.

It’s not necessary to uncomplete the corresponding task. If a project is unlocked, it can still be accessed from My Menu > Tasks > Completed Tasks.
